Hello All,

We just got back from a beer tasting at a local bar. Some not so good, the best beer was Anker.
Jane and Al had the grand idea of sampling beer, Don, Jean, Eleanor and Bob joined us. Elenaor left to go shopping while the rest of us drank steadily. Jane gave us some advice while we visit Munich. Spaetzle House(sp?) And the Beer Garden also know as the Hofbrau House. Got to go dinner at 6:30 sharp.

Here we are in Kapstaadt or Capetown, SA. We are staying at the beautiful and waterfront Cape Grace Hotel. I suspect that all of our group has checked in. Today marks the first official day of our tour. To cope with the jet lag we ease into some shopping and sightseeing this AM, the weather permitting, we take the Gondola to the top of Table Mountain. Yesterday, we walked 18 holes and played in a driving rainstorm with temps in the 60's. Only 7 of the craziest joined in the hooting and hollering on the links. I had 2 birdies while Nanc who played i the other group had many "good shots". I have a cable/charger deficiency due to crappy packing so I am trying to charge the phone battery with the camera cable. Naturally they have no cables for Blackberry, everything is for the I phone and Vodafone.

Tommorrow's the big day. We fly to SF at about noon, then hang around the airport until 6:56 before the flight leaves for Frankfurt. We then get in about 3PM on Saturday in Frankfurt. Then at 5:20 PM we embark on our plane for Cape Town, SA arriving at 5AM on Monday. After clearing customs, its off to our hotel for a nap, freshening up, then to an extra round of golf. The tour officially begins on Tuesday. I'm trying to get my SIM card activated for international calling and email/internet but regretfully its not as easy as I had anticipated.
